Ward Mountain Campground
There are 33 campsites, including nine back-in and three pull-thru RV sites. These sites also have picnic tables, campfire rings, and BBQ pedestals. At this campground, recreation activities include mountain/road biking, backpack/day hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. From Ely, Nevada, take Highway 6 south towards Tonopah, 10 miles to Murray summit. Turn left just before the summit at the Forest Service sign for Ward Mountain Recreation Area and Campground. The potable water supply at this site is currently questionable. You may need to bring your own water.

Cave Lake State Park
Cave Lake State Park is a public recreation area occupying more than 4,000 acres in the Schell Creek Range, adjacent to Humboldt National Forest, in White Pine County, Nevada. The state park is located at an elevation of 7,300 feet 20 miles southeast of Ely and is accessed via U.S. Route 50 and Success Summit Road. For overnight stays, the park offers a yurt and two designated campgrounds, Elk Flat and Lake View, with modern camping facilities.

Next to the Lehman Caves Visitor Center sits the historic Rhodes Cabin. The cabin was built in the 1920s by Clarence and Bea Rhodes, who were US Forest Service custodians of Lehman Caves at the time. It is one of several cabins built to provide accommodations for visitors to Lehman Caves. Today it contains interpretive exhibits.
